Today, John Kozey, an equities analyst for Reuters Insider, starts another three part mini-series looking at what stocks might make it into next season’s portfolios, starting with Constellation Brands in the consumer staples sector.
For his analysis John works with the StarMine SmartHoldings model, which was built to predict the stocks that mutual fund managers will add to and sell from their portfolios, and is intended to anticipate buy side behavior as compared to most other models that work with sell side forecasts.
John also incorporates StarMine Analyst Revisions (ARM) model and the StarMine Value-Momentum (Val-Mo) model into his analysis and found that that Constellation Brands, symbol STZ, is the only name in the S&P 500 consumer staples sector that got a top quintile score in all three categories.
