Otto started his professional career in 1995 as a financial analyst at a Swiss fund research company. Subsequently, the company has been acquired by Reuters in 1998 and incorporated into its subsidiary Lipper. In 2001 Otto became Head of Lipper Switzerland Research and in 2007, now London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), Head of Lipper Methodology. Today, Otto serves as the Head of Lipper Research, where he leads the development and oversight of LSEG Lipper’s quantitative research, fund ratings, and classification systems. He also directs the prestigious LSEG Lipper Fund Awards program, which recognizes around 3,000 fund managers and 150 fund groups globally each year. Otto’s special area of expertise is global fund market intelligence especially the analysis of investor behavior and fund companies’ competition. After studies in law and history at the University of Zurich and business administration at the Graduate School of Business Administration, Otto Christian Kober graduated in 1996 with a diploma as a Bachelor of Business Administration.
