In this podcast, Andrew Parry, Head of Sustainable Investing at Hermes Investment Management, discusses how environmental, social & governance criteria (ESG) can no longer be overlooked by companies and investors alike. He examines how sustainability has become a global imperative for maximising investment opportunities rather than merely an ancillary issue.
Andrew also considers the evolution of sustainable investing from its historical roots in ethical investing, how different asset classes benefit from stewardship and how passive investing can overlook these criteria.
Andrew is chatting with Jake Moeller, Head of Lipper UK and Ireland Research at Refinitiv, in London on December 5, 2017.
