Bond Funds Close out the Year on a Positive Note

Bond funds recorded positive results for the fourth straight quarter as the group appreciated by an average of 0.96% during Q4. The gains were broad based as 48 out of Lipper’s 51 fixed income peer groups were on the plus side for the quarter, led by Emerging Markets Local Currency Debt Funds, which returned 5.05% on average as the group took strength from a weaker U.S. dollar.
