Otto started his professional career in 1995 as a financial analyst at a Swiss fund research company. Subsequently, the company has been acquired by Reuters in 1998 and incorporated into its subsidiary Lipper. In 2001 Otto became Head of Research Switzerland and in 2007, now Refinitiv Lipper an LSEG Business, Global Head of Methodology. He holds this position until today. Otto is responsible for Refinitiv Lipper’s quantitative, fund rating and fund classification techniques. He also oversees the Fund Awards program for Refinitiv Lipper. Every year about 3,000 fund managers and 150 fund groups worldwide receive a prestigious recognition in this program. Otto’s special area of expertise is global fund market intelligence especially the analysis of investor behavior and fund companies’ competition. After studies in law and history at the University of Zurich and business administration at the Graduate School of Business Administration, Otto Christian Kober graduated in 1996 with a diploma as a Bachelor of Business Administration.
