Earnings Roundup: Technology Companies Struggle to Beat Expectations

Last week marked the halfway point in the first quarter earnings season. With 178 companies reporting, it was also the busiest of the quarter in terms of corporate reporting. Of these companies, 73% beat their consensus estimates. These positive surprises caused the Q1 EPS growth estimate to increase to -5.7%, up from the -7.1% estimate the previous week.
