The Changing European Fund Distribution Landscape: Philip Kalus, Accelerando Associates

by Jake Moeller.

Philip Kalus, Managing Partner of Accelerando Associates talks with Jake Moeller, Head of Lipper UK & Ireland Research at Thomson Reuters on Thursday September 28, 2016 in London.

The European fund distribution landscape is changing. Europe has some 35,000 mutual funds in the Lipper database – a huge number compared with the U.S. It is facing threats from consolidation, digitisation and legislation.

In this podcast, Philip Kalus outlines how these changes will impact fund groups; their marketing strategies and interface with intermediaries. He also looks at where opportunities might lie for fund houses who are willing and able to adapt to ongoing change.

You can access a free Accelerando Associates discussion paper covering some of the issues raised in this podcast here.
