Consumer Confidence Up to Begin 2026 As Current and Investment Sub-Indices Rise

WASHINGTON, DC – The LSEG/Ipsos Primary Consumer Sentiment Index for January 2026 is
at 53.8. Fielded from December 24, 2025 – January 5, 2026, the Index is up two points from
last month.

The index begins the year with its largest month-over-month increase in seven months. It now sits less than a point lower than its reading from this time last year.
