Consumer Confidence Declines Sharply As All Four Sub-Indices Fall

WASHINGTON, DC – The LSEG/Ipsos Primary Consumer Sentiment Index for April 2026 is at
50.0. Fielded from March 20 – 25, 2026, the Index is down 3.4 points from last month.

The index fell sharply and has now declined in consecutive months. It sits nearly three points lower than its reading from this time last year.
