Consumer Confidence Shows Slight Uptick As Current and Investment Sub-Indices Both Increase

WASHINGTON, DC – The LSEG/Ipsos Primary Consumer Sentiment Index for September 2026 is at
50.5. Fielded from August 21 – September 1, 2026, the Index is up 1.1 points from last month.

The index has alternated gains and losses for the past four months. It now sits 1.9 points below its reading from this time last year.
