Why The Buy-Side Needs To Step Up To The Potential Of Technology Innovation

According to Ranjit Tinaikar from Thomson Reuters, there are at least four themes around which the buy-side can take a more pro-active approach to adopting technology innovations. These are “Search for Alpha” which is intensifying and requires new insights beyond raw data; “Increasing Productivity” through enhancing the user experience; “Mobile Workflows” which are becoming increasingly critical to improving investment performance and “Collaboration” through tools such as Messaging.
