Sherry Wong, Head of Products, Asia Pacific and Head of Asset Management, Singapore & SEA, UBS Asset Management
“We are honoured to receive the Lipper Awards. This recognition is testament to the dedication and success of our portfolio management teams. At a time of great volatility, it is easy to become unanchored as investors. At AB, we are anchored by thinking like business owners, considering a company’s financial strength, its resilience in the pandemic economy, and the future earnings and cash flows we expect it to earn as we eventually exit this crisis.”
Karen Lim, Managing Director, Southeast Asia Client Group, AllianceBernstein (Singapore) Ltd.
“All of us at Maybank Asset Management are honoured and grateful to be awarded the best USD Global Bond Fund – Maybank Asian Income Fund (3 Years and 5 Years). This was achieved through the hard work and dedication of the portfolio manager Judy Leong together with invaluable support from team member Wu Jiaying and the Credit Research Team. It is also testament of our robust investment processes. We are thankful to all involved and will remain committed to performing our best in future.”
Goh Keat Jin, Chief Executive Officer, Maybank Asset Management Singapore
“We remain constructively positive on the corporate fundamentals in Asian debt. While the US and Europe are still firmly in the grip of the coronavirus crisis, Asia is starting to pick up the pieces. There is still value to be found. We like the high yield segment, however careful credit assessment and corporate resilience will remain key to maximising opportunities in Asian debt.
Asian debt should make a sharp recovery in the second half of 2020. Recent market sell-off has caused spreads in Asian debt to widen dramatically, offering attractive entry points at current levels.”
Joep Huntjens, Head of Asian Fixed Income, NN Investment Singapore
“We are greatly honored to receive the awards from Lipper and are extremely grateful for the trust and confidence our clients and partners place in us. For nearly 50 years, PIMCO has been helping investors navigate shifting conditions, including times of market stress. Our investment process has been tested in virtually every environment. We hope everyone stays safe in this challenging time.”
Michael Thompson, Executive Vice President, Head of Asia ex Japan, PIMCO
“We are proud to be recognised for the management of our two flagship funds – Fullerton SGD Income Fund and Asian High Yield Bonds Fund in the “Best Bond Asia Pacific” category. Fullerton focuses on investment excellence to generate value for clients, and the awards acknowledge our results.
Recognition from Refinitiv Lipper, an established industry leader, are positive affirmations of Fullerton’s investment approach, and a reminder of the benefits of active management, as we strive to achieve industry-leading outcomes.
The trust that our clients placed with us have allowed us to make great strides in recent years to deliver long term results and consequently, grow our AUM. Winning the Refinitiv Lipper awards, in that sense, is an outcome of our clients’ trust and our commitment to them. The awards are testaments to Fullerton’s mission to inspire trust through stewardship and investment excellence.”
Wee Kee NAH, Product Marketing Manager, Fullerton Singapore
