Consumer Confidence Down Slightly As Current and Investment Sub-Indices Both Decline

WASHINGTON, DC – The LSEG/Ipsos Primary Consumer Sentiment Index for March 2026 is
at 53.3. Fielded from February 20 – 23, 2026*, the Index is down 0.5 point from last month.

*Fieldwork was completed prior to the start of the conflict in Iran.

The index shows a decline for the first time this year. It now sits nearly a point lower than its reading from this time last year.
