Consumer Confidence Shows Overall Stability But Jobs Index Continues To Fall

WASHINGTON, DC – The LSEG/Ipsos Primary Consumer Sentiment Index for May 2026 is at
49.6. Fielded from April 24 – 30, 2026, the Index is stable (-0.3 point) from last month.

The index shows stability following declines in the previous two months. It also sits in line with its reading from this time last year.
